After school clubs

We understand how important extra-curricular activities are for children to discover their interests, passions and talents and to have opportunities to develop these. As such, we aim to offer a range of lunchtime or after school clubs. There may be a charge for some clubs where there is an associated cost to the school. 

Examples of clubs that may be on offer are:

Football, multisports, dance, choir, gardening, chess, ICT, duplo/lego, art, phonics, archery,  SATs boosters. 

It is important to note that after school enrichment activities are not provided as part of after school child care. Whilst we aim to ensure that clubs run weekly, there may be occasions where this is not possible. Parents will be given notice as soon as reasonably possible if a club is cancelled for any reason.

Other Enrichment

Throughout the year, classes have a range of opportunities to experience enrichment activities through trips, visitors and planned experiences. We endeavour to ensure that these cover a wide range of curriculum and cultural themes.

Examples of enrichment are:

Trips: Church, Farm, Zoo, Museum, Cathedral, Flag Fen, Wisbech Reads

Visitors: In school assemblies or workshops relating to music, art, cooking, gardening, science, citizenship, first aid, holi festival dancing and colour share, introductions to sports such as tri golf or archery, emergency services, our pet therapy dog - Brinkley.

Other experiences: Music tuition either paid or small group / whole class teaching, performance opportunities, inter-school competitions such as athletics, swimming galas and football.

We offer holistic and project led activities as part of our targeted provision. A group of pupils have been involved in the design and creation of our new bio-diversity garden with a frog bog, bug hotel and wormery.
