Today, we welcomed in the special ladies in the lives our pupils to celebrate Mother's Day. It was great to see so many people there - we had 57 guests in total. It was sausage and mash on menu and they went down a treat! Thank you to everybody who joined us and for Sunday - Happy Mother's Day
Today we had some special visitors! The emergency services came to school. The children were able to meet paramedics with their ambulance and fire fighters with their fire engine. The children learned about the roles, equipment and engines asking lots of great questions. Some even had a go at CPR and sat in the driving seat of the ambulance to set off the siren.
It was lovely to also see the Pre-school children take part in the visit too. They had a great time.
Pupils and staff submitted their Halloween plates into a prize draw this week. Children's plates were selected randomly and the winners will be decorating their pumpkins next week. In singing assembly, the children looked at the staff designs and selected their winner.
Pupil Winners: Daisy, Alfie, Amie, Millie
Staff Winner: Mrs Allen
This week, parents were invited in for a presentation from Mrs Mulford about aims and ambitions for the school building on what has already been in place. The session included feedback following the parent workshop and online survey.
Thank you to those of you who were able to attend. For those unable to make it, please see a copy of the presentation giving a broad overview has been added to the newsletters page.
This year Alderman Payne contributed to the Emmanuel Church Flower Festival. On Thursday 26th September, children came into school wearing Autumn colours in line with the Church theme of 'Seasons of the Year.' Children brought donations of flowers and we were able to contribute four large, beautiful bouquets for presentation at the Church.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
